Painter lead that understand the variety of surface coatings and paint compatibilities, required PPE and painting equipment, prepare and paint helicopters and helicopter parts in accordance with manufacturing procedures and other data acceptable to or approved by the FAA and able to lead and coach a group of individuals to meet daily goals ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & COMPETENCIES: Ability to measure and mix paint and primer components per manufacturer specifications. Surface preparation practices such as composite filling, corrosion removal, sanding, masking, painting, and polishing of helicopters and helicopter parts. Ability to identify and correct imperfections in paint such as adhesion and lifting, blushing, sags, runs, drips, orange peel, solvent pops, pinholes, fisheyes, sanding scratches, wrinkling, and dry spray. Operation of spraying equipment including but not limited to spray booths, compressors, spray guns (HLVP), and mixing equipment. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and geometric tolerances. Basic mathematic skills include but are not limited to adding, subtracting, multiplication, division, geometry and algebra for calculating material fabrication. Full compliance with the Company's DOT Antidrug and Alcohol Misuse Prevention Program. Regular and predictable attendance. Essential Functions & Competencies: ?? Paint Mixing & Measurement: Accurately measure and mix paint and primer components per manufacturer specifications ?? Surface Preparation: Perform composite filling, corrosion removal, sanding, masking, painting, and polishing ?? Paint Quality Control: Identify and correct paint imperfections such as runs, sags, orange peel, fisheyes, and more ??? Equipment Operation: Operate spray booths, compressors, HLVP spray guns, and mixing equipment ?? Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and geometric tolerances ? Mathematical Proficiency: Apply basic math, geometry, and algebra for material calculations ? Regulatory Compliance: Adhere to FAA standards and the Company's DOT Antidrug and Alcohol Misuse Prevention Program ?? Attendance: Maintain regular and predictable attendance to support production schedules ?? Qualifications: Proven experience in aerospace or industrial painting Strong leadership and coaching abilities Knowledge of paint compatibility and PPE requirements Familiarity with FAA-approved manufacturing procedures Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
