Freelance FABRICATOR / WELDER - Steel Door & Window Manufacturing (Glassell Park) Studio Cortez compensation: $25-$30 Depending on Experience, On Call Work may be higher employment type: experience level: senior level job title: Fabricator/Welder We are a custom steel door and window shop in Los Angeles seeking an experienced Freelance Fabricator/Welder to help out when the workload is heavy. This work is hands-on for someone with strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a solutions-oriented mindset. Our workload fluctuates, so we are looking for a talented person who could use extra work now and again to supplement their other projects. We are looking for someone who: Takes pride in quality craftsmanship Learns quickly Can work independently and as part of a small, focused team Is flexible with scheduling (some weeks may be busier than others) Required Skills & Qualifications: Proficient in MIG and TIG welding with a high degree of precision. TIG welding is critical to our door construction and candidate must be skilled. Strong experience working with steel fabrication equipment and hand tools Ability to read and interpret detailed shop drawings Solid knowledge of fabrication processes and safety procedures About the Work: You'll be cutting, preparing, and assembling components for high-end custom doors, windows, and architectural steelwork.
