ENG Design Engineer II

Volt is immediately hiring a Product Sustaining Engineer in San Antonio, TX with a well-known industry leader. In this role you will have the opportunity to participate in product/process change submissions, cost reduction research, product failure investigations, and engineering change orders creation. This is a first shift position. As a Sustaining Engineer you will:Be responsible for driving the Time-To-Resolution of all engineering related issues assigned to him/her either as part of supporting a project in a cross-functional team or as individual contributor.Lead design efforts under the guidance of Senior Engineers on design change initiatives.Interface with various departments (locally and internationally) to drive projects forward.Become familiar with the medical device development life cycles, manufacturing processes, and technologies.Work with Manufacturing and other Product Development engineers to ensure that products are optimally designed for manufacturingFollow Design Control procedures and comply with requirements of 21CFR820 Quality System Regulations, ISO 13485 and ISO 14971 as applicable. This is a full-time contingent opportunity Estimated Duration 24+ months The ideal candidate will have:Requires a bachelor's Degree in Biomedical, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering or similar Engineering disciplines.3 years of experience in the Medical Device industry.Excellent understanding of fundamental mechanical principles.Ability to maintain complete confidentiality and discretion in business relationships and exercise sound business judgment.Experienced creating Engineering Change Plans for medical devicesExcellent understanding of fundamental mechanical principles.Pay Rate: $39.69 per hour *Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc. Qualified candidates should APPLY NOW for immediate consideration!
