Job Description : The Estimator will play a pivotal role, responsible for preparing accurate and detailed takeoffs for projects. This role demands precision, a thorough understanding of Construction Specifications Institute (CSI) codes, and expertise in data analysis to optimize cost-effectiveness and bid competitiveness. Salary Range : $80K - $100K Key Responsibilities Scope new projects in preparation for bidding Deconstruct project into quantifiable components Perform accurate takeoffs using Bluebeam or PlanSwift Read and comprehend specifications Communicate with subcontractors for pricing and foster relationships Build scoping documents for subcontractors to facilitate bid leveling Required Skills Strong Excel Skills Proficient w/ Microsoft Suite Proficient in Bluebeam or PlanSwift Geometry, algebra, trigonometry Reading comprehension and analysis (geotechnical reports, contract documents) Driving - able to drive to and attend bid walks throughout Northern California Moderate to advanced computer literacy Communicate via phone and email Experience 1-2 years of experience in construction estimating or related field (e.g., project engineering, project coordination) Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience Key Attributes Organized - Plans, organizes, schedules, and budgets in an efficient, productive manner Detail Oriented - Does not let important details slip through the cracks Honest/Maintains Integrity - Earns trust and maintains confidences.
