Gas Fireplace Technician and Construction Helper

MULTIPLE POSITONS OPEN, WE ARE URGENTLY HIRING

We are looking for an experienced gas fireplace technician and installer, as well as a construction helper to join our team. Work is in residential houses throughout Suffolk County only. Primary work is chimney/fireplace cleanings, installations, repairs.

Gas Fireplace Technician:

You will:
- Service and install fireplaces
- Fabricate and assemble various components and equipment according to specifications
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with machinery and equipment
- Be personable, presentable, and provide excellent customer service by addressing client concerns and ensuring satisfaction

You need:
- A valid NYS driver's license
- Gas fireplace experience
- Ladder and scaffolding experience, not afraid of heights
- Strong technical skills and knowledge of machinery and equipment
- Excellent problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Customer service skills to interact with clients in a professional manner

Construction helper/laborer:

- A valid NYS driver's license
- Knowledge of hand tools / power tools
- Not afraid of heights / able to work on scaffolding
- Able to drive a box truck
- Able to follow direction well / be respectful of customer's houses
- Work well with others and have a positive attitude
- Able to come to the shop (located in East Setauket) in the morning to load up accurately
- The ability to learn and memorize different types of pipe
- Masonry experience is a plus*
