Arita Poulson General Contracting, LLC, a locally owned and operated company, seeking an experienced Project Engineer to assist Project Managers and Superintendents in ensuring projects meet plans and specifications.
Responsibilities:
* Collaborate with the Project Manager and Superintendent to develop on-site utilization programs.
* Initiate and oversee job start-up, in-progress, and shutdown procedures, ensuring timely execution.
* Manage submittals, reviews, approvals, and distribution of shop drawings, samples, and other required documentation.
* Organize and maintain all project engineering files, including subcontract and bid package records, plans, specifications, changes, clarifications, and as-builts.
* Track the status of submittals, draw requests, subcontractor draws, and change proposals, obtaining direction from the Project Manager as needed.
* Review vendor schedules of values and coordinate with the Project Manager to prepare the schedule of values.
* Obtain signatures for all contracts, subcontracts, and change orders.
* Resolve invoice issues and coordinate back charges promptly.
* Manage draw request procedures from review to payment.
* Evaluate subcontractor payment requisitions relative to work completed, in coordination with Project Manager and Superintendent.
* Assist with preparation and processing of general requisitions through to payment.
* Supervise and coordinate record/document processing for field purchasing and labor (receiving, logging, distribution, control stamping, filing).
* Serve as liaison between project teams, other departments, clients, and external contacts to schedule meetings, resolve issues, coordinate work, and maintain professional relationships.
* Assist with project-related communications and marketing correspondence to potential clients.
Qualifications:
* Associate Degree or minimum 5 years of construction administrative experience.
* Intermediate understanding of construction terminology, documentation, and procedures.
* Familiarity with accounting functions and contract management.
* Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
* Proficiency in MS Office, Internet, and Construction Management Software.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Authorized to work in the United States.
* Valid drivers license required.
