Carpenter wanted for residential deck and porch builder. Must have the following: Valid drivers license, reliable method of transportation. We will consider any level of experience.
Above average pay! Usually 40 hours a week, but sometimes a little less. Paid time off after 1 year, paid holidays after 90 days of employment. W2 pay after two weeks.
We do exterior work and focus on decks, porch enclosures, roof additions, and outdoor living spaces. This company is a small crew with the company owner doing a lot of the hands-on work. We build from the ground up. Typical tasks in a project range from digging concrete footings, mixing concrete, setting posts, framing (joists, beams). Many of our decks and porches are higher end. We do a lot of composite deck board inlays, railings, etc. Applicants should be okay with all phases of a deck/porch build.
We work mainly in Howard and Baltimore County. We do not work in Baltimore City.
Applicants MUST have a good attitude, be positive, and be someone who can work well on a team. You will be treated kindly and never be completely alone when doing larger tasks (for example, you would not be expected to move a cube of 16' 2x10's alone). This company has a really positive work culture and we are looking for someone to help us.
You should enjoy the jobsite and be someone who likes getting their hands dirty.
Must be someone who generally enjoys carpentry and building things. You should be someone who likes tools and working with their hands. We are looking for someone who can offer ideas and input about projects, but also knows when to go with the flow and just do what the "boss" says. You will be respected and should be respectful. You should also have a sense of humor.
If you are interested in applying and meet the above requirements, please do the following tasks and someone will contact you:
1) E-mail/reply to this posting and just TYPE a small paragraph about your experience and - why you think you would be a great fit for working with me. Do not attach a resume.
2) Tell me the area you live (I don't need an address, just a town/city)
3) At the end of your paragraph, provide your number and some good times you can talk on the phone
Please, no e-mails after 10PM
