General laborer- 1st shift - $20/HR - Start ASAP Job Description This position is part of a special project group working to achieve 5S standards in the plant over a period of approximately 6-8 months. The work schedule is 1st shift, Monday to Friday, from 7 AM to 3 PM, with two paid 10-minute breaks at 9 AM and 1 PM, and a paid 20-minute lunch break at 11 AM. The initial focus is on completing the first two 'S' phases: sort and place, by the deadline in September. Responsibilities Participate in daily morning meetings for assignment briefings. Work in teams of two across the plant to assist where needed. Lift up to 50 lbs as part of daily tasks. Engage in cleaning floors, mopping, and scrubbing machines. Tag and organize items such as tools, tubing, and cabinets. Use red tags for trash items and green tags for items to keep. Stand and work on feet all day, embracing a dynamic and sometimes chaotic environment. Essential Skills Experience in lean manufacturing and process improvement. Knowledge of 5S principles and organization. Understanding of continuous improvement practices. Familiarity with production and general labor tasks. Skills in inspection and quality control. Additional Skills & Qualifications Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Proficiency in pulling tuggers throughout the plant. Quick learning capability. Willingness to clean, mop, scrub machines, and paint.
