Project Engineer - Water/Wastewater

Kennedy Jenks is seeking an ambitious and service-oriented Project Engineer to join one of our largest and fastest-growing markets! As a Project Engineer, you will play a key role in our water/wastewater practice, contributing to design work and acting as a lead on projects while collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team of project engineers and managers. Projects will include a variety of water, wastewater, recycled water, utility infrastructure, and treatment process improvement projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and Analysis: Prepare detailed designs, specifications, and drawings. Conduct design calculations with the support of senior team members. Assist the Project Manager where needed.
  • Technical Support: Provide technical expertise to multi-disciplinary project teams.
  • Documentation: Write technical reports and maintain accurate project records, reports, and documentation.
  • Project Management: Support projects from conception through construction, coordinating with multi-disciplinary teams. Lead smaller projects and attend both internal and external meetings as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related scientific discipline is required. A Master's degree is preferred.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or the ability to obtain PE within 6 months of hire.
  • 5+ years of water/wastewater engineering experience.
  • Proficiency in various software including AutoCAD, MicroStation, Civil3D, and Microsoft products.
  • Ability to interact professionally with both internal teams and external clients, analyze technical documents, and communicate effectively.

Salary range for this position is anticipated to be between $90,000 and $165,000, depending on education, experience, qualifications, licensure/certifications, and geographic location. This position is eligible for performance and incentive compensation.
