StandardAero Augusta is a Business Aviation MRO (Maintenance, Repair, Overhaul) facility, specialized to support an extensive range of aircraft models, including renowned brands such as Falcon, Hawker, Challenger, Gulfstream, and Embraer. With a significant 80,500 sq ft expansion opening in August 2025, we're doubling our footprint at AGS. Our facility focuses on 22 models of aircraft on the Airframe side, while our Engine Shop performs comprehensive overhauls on Honeywell HTF7000 and TFE731 engines, APUs (36-100, 36-150), and performs diagnostics in our state-of-the-art Test Cells.

What You Will Do:

  • Engine Removal and Reinstallation: Remove and reinstall engines on turbofan and turboprop aircraft.
  • Operational Checks and Engine Runs: Perform engine runs and operational checks to ensure airworthiness prior to departure.
  • Aircraft Inspections: Inspect aircraft in accordance with OEM Light or Heavy Maintenance manuals.
  • Component Evaluation: Assess removed components for serviceability and document any discrepancies (squawks), then reinstall and test after inspection.
  • Airframe Troubleshooting and Repair: Troubleshoot and repair all airframe systems (e.g., hydraulics, landing gear), including performing fuel tank sealing when necessary.
  • Work Documentation: Accurately document all completed work (sign-offs) in a clear and concise manner.
  • Adherence to Regulatory Standards: Accomplish Service Bulletins, Repair Letters, and Airworthiness Directives as required.
  • Manual Interpretation: Read and interpret maintenance manuals, blueprints, technical manuals, and schematic diagrams when needed.
  • Mechanical Problem Analysis: Analyze mechanical issues, determine causes, and identify the best repair methods.
  • System Testing and Repair: Test and repair/adjust engines, engine controls, propellers, landing gear, hydraulic systems, and flight controls.
  • System Checks: Repair and inspect fuel, oil, oxygen, heating, cooling, and pressurization systems.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Licenses: Active FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License - Required at time of hire.
  • Technical Training: Prior Aviation Training (Military, Aeronautical Academy, Technical School, and/or an Aviation Associate's Degree).
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, walk, bend, stretch, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces.
  • Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience supporting General Aviation, Corporate Aviation, or Military fixed-wing aircraft.
  • Prior experience working in a mechanical capacity such as an automotive, assembly, or industrial technician.
