DC Network Infrastructure Engineer

Kforce has a client in Allen, TX that is seeking a skilled and proactive Data Center Infrastructure Engineer. This role is critical in ensuring the reliability, scalability, and efficiency of our data center environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver hands-on installation and technical support our Data center
• Perform routine checks and maintenance of data center networking infrastructure; Demonstrate a strong understanding of data center network infrastructure
• Provide expert engineering support for space planning, power distribution, and cooling systems across all managed Data centers
• Create detailed build documentation for network upgrades and server installations
• Offer strategic design input for new managed compute spaces being developed globally, ensuring alignment with operational standards
• Conduct QA on contract labor to maintain electrical and HVAC infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance of space, power, and cooling systems
• Act as a local point of contact for engineering projects involving data center equipment, providing on-site support and coordination
• Ensure seamless integration and minimal disruption to network operations during the transition
• Decommission Networking Devices
• Manage and troubleshoot network-related issues
• Implement and maintain network security protocols* Proven experience in data center infrastructure, including HVAC, electrical systems, and compute space design
• Strong understanding of network architecture and server deployment processes
• Ability to interpret and implement technical designs and documentation
• Excellent communication and coordination skills across global teams
• Confidently comprehend Port Mappings
• Understand Different Types of SFPs
