Project Surveyor / Field Engineer

State and federal contractor looking for an adaptable, self-motivated individual who wants to learn and gain experience in the field of Project Engineer. We are looking forward to playing off your individual strengths while giving you the opportunity to have hands-on experience in the field. The position is located in Panama City, FL

Position requirements:

Valid driver license

Driver screening at time of hire

Ability to gain federal base access

Ability to pass drug screen (at time of hire and randomly while employed)

Must be familiar with Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Outlook

Graduate of a four -year accredited college or university program in one of the following disciplines: Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering Technology, Building Construction, or Building Science

Assist in general Project Engineer responsibilities, including but not limited to:

• Layout and Staking using Total Station for Land and water based utilities, structures, and appurtenances

Manage the preparation, review, approval and forwarding of the project submittals

Gather and deliver reporting documents daily to government and municipal entities

Assist in updating As-Built drawings

Verification and tracking of actual quantities and dimensions

Maintain the project daily report

Work with superintendents and project manager to develop a project plan to create a project CPM schedule. Manage and maintain the project schedule

Assist with managing the collection, review, approval, and processing of the daily hours and weekly timesheets of craft workers

Layout and Staking using Total Station for Land and water based structures and appurtenances

Must report to field office and conduct daily engineer duties in field

Must be a team player

Must be dependable and punctual

Preferred, but not required:

Experience in AutoCad

Familiar with BlueBeam

P6 Scheduling

OSHA 10-hour Course

OSHA 30-hour Course
