Description and Requirements Our team is growing its in-house design capability, and looking for a Mechanical Engineer with server design experience. we part of the Infrastructure Solutions Group responsible for server development at Lenovo. We work with peers across worldwide design centers to share common building block designs and deliver high quality products to our customers. You will also work on product design from the concept stage to market availability and field sustainability. Your creativity and attention to detail will be essential for success in this role. Faster, smaller, and more energy-efficient are constants in the world of server design. This, along with evolving technologies, makes the mechanical development of servers challenging and exciting. Our Lenovo servers solve some of humanity's greatest challenges and YOU will be part of the team that makes this possible. Responsibilities: Create in-house developed server designs including printed circuit board layouts, structural sheet metal enclosures, and plastic part designs in our next generation servers Work with architects to close on a design concept, then develop and validate the design Create designs, working with other team members, and solving design bugs when they arise Work in a close team environment, interacting with the thermal, power, system, and extended team members, to achieve a design, which meets the business and marketing requirements. Contribute to common building block designs used across our portfolio.
