Candidates with commercial and industrial experience will be prioritized over those with primarily residential backgrounds. You'll have the flexibility to use a personal vehicle with mileage reimbursement or a rental vehicle for travel, which is expected to be frequent. While personal tools are not required, you're welcome to use them if preferred. This is a high-impact role for someone who thrives in the field, values safety and precision, and is passionate about driving quality in every aspect of electrical work. Maryland, Virginia, Delaware and DC will be your coverage area for this role. In this role you will make an impact in the following ways: Conduct on-site inspections of electrical installations and perform safety audits. Review electrical plans, drawings, and specifications for code compliance. Obtain and manage electrical permits across home and reciprocal states. Act as the qualification agent for Cummins electrical systems, including low and medium voltage. Ensure all work performed by Cummins employees and subcontractors meets NEC and state regulations. Maintain current Master Electrician license and continuing education requirements. Support technician licensing and training compliance, including trainee card tracking. Collaborate with internal teams and local/state agencies to maintain strong working relationships. Participate in electrical safety meetings and contribute to a proactive safety culture. Travel regularly to job sites across assigned regions. Qualifications: Current Master Electrician License in home state (required). Willingness to obtain licenses in reciprocal states. 7-10+ years of experience in electrical/mechanical work or construction management. Strong knowledge of NEC, NFPA 70e, OSHA, and state electrical codes. Experience with commissioning, testing, and maintaining electrical systems. Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills. EVITP certification preferred, but not required.
