Key Responsibilities

Perform HVAC Service and Repairs (40%)

Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC and mechanical systems to ensure peak performance.

Provide timely and efficient solutions to minimize customer downtime.

Conduct Preventative Maintenance (30%)

Complete scheduled maintenance tasks to extend system life and prevent breakdowns.

Document findings, recommend improvements, and ensure compliance with safety standards.

Support Design-Build & Installation Projects (20%)

Collaborate with project teams to assist with system installations, upgrades, and retrofits.

Provide technical expertise and ensure quality workmanship on all design-build projects.

Customer Communication & Documentation (10%)

Communicate clearly with clients, explaining service recommendations and solutions.

Accurately complete work orders, service reports, and other required documentation.

Compensation

Top-Tier Pay: Starting at $66.58/hour, with the potential to earn above scale for highly qualified candidates. This position also includes an annual performance-based bonus, offering additional earning potential on top of a strong union wage.

What We're Looking For:

Experience & Credentials: Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience in commercial HVAC service and repair. Active UA Local 537 membership or willingness to join is required. Additional HVAC certifications, gas fitting licenses, or relevant trade credentials are a plus.

Technical Expertise: Strong proficiency with diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing systems such as boilers, chillers, rooftop units, and other mechanical equipment. Ability to interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints with ease.

Problem-Solving Skills: Proven ability to identify root causes of system issues quickly and implement effective, long-term solutions. Comfort working in high-priority, mission-critical environments.

Professional Standards: Commitment to delivering high-quality work with a focus on safety, efficiency, and customer satisfaction. Skilled at documenting service work and providing clear, professional communication with clients and team members.

Physical Capabilities: Able to lift up to 75 pounds regularly and safely operate tools and equipment. Comfortable with extended standing, bending, kneeling, and working at heights or in confined spaces.

Safety Focus: Deep understanding and adherence to OSHA and industry safety standards, including PPE use and site protocols.

Communication & Teamwork: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a collaborative approach to solving customer challenges.

Adaptability: Flexibility to handle a variety of service calls, design-build projects, and changing schedules in a dynamic field environment.
