Job Title: Lead Meister Painter

Job Summary:
We are seeking an exceptionally skilled and certified Lead Meister Painter to supervise and lead our painting and finishes team. The ideal candidate will be a master tradesperson with extensive experience in all aspects of the painting trade, from surface preparation to final application and specialty finishes. This role requires not only superior hands-on skills but also proven leadership ability to manage projects, mentor a team, and ensure all work meets the highest standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor a team of painters, delegating tasks, providing technical guidance, and fostering a productive and safe work environment.
Project Management: Plan, organize, and manage painting and finishing projects from start to finish. This includes estimating materials, preparing surfaces, and ensuring projects are completed on schedule and within budget.
Painting Expertise: Perform and oversee all phases of painting and finishing work, including interior and exterior painting, surface preparation, use of various application techniques, and application of specialty coatings.
Quality Control: Conduct detailed inspections of all work to ensure it meets both company standards and industry best practices for a durable and aesthetically pleasing finish.
Safety & Compliance: Enforce strict adherence to all safety protocols and regulations, ensuring the team uses proper PPE and safe work practices, especially with hazardous materials.
Training: Provide hands-on training and skill development for junior painters and apprentices.
Desired Qualifications:
Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is required. A Meister brief or an equivalent advanced certification in painting is highly desirable.
Experience: A minimum of 7-10 years of professional painting experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
Technical Skills: Mastery of all painting tools, equipment, and techniques. Deep knowledge of different paint types, surface preparation methods, and finishing processes.
Leadership: Exceptional communication, organizational, and leadership skills. The ability to manage people, projects, and resources effectively.
Certification: A valid driver's license is required.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds occasionally.
Requires the ability to stand, walk, climb ladders and scaffolding, and work in various positions for extended periods.
Must be able to work in diverse conditions, including exposure to loud noise, dust, fumes, and all types of weather.
