**JOB SUMMARY** : To Assist in the development of cost estimates for projects and services related to the industrial painting and coating industry for commercial construction projects. Develop, produce, and maintain production units according to industry standards as directed.

**Key Responsibilities:**

Supervision

+ Ensure an ample supply of labor that is qualified, trained, and able to work

+ Supervise working foreman, journeyman, apprentice

+ Schedule work in accordance with manpower

+ Coordinate with other crafts

+ Coordinate activities of field personnel to successfully and efficiently complete multiple projects simultaneously

+ Assist in the recruitment, development, assignment, and evaluation of field personnel

+ Ensure field personnel have proper training and credentials to perform the work

Training

+ Train employees on safe work practices

+ Train employees on proper equipment use

+ Provide mentoring to field personnel regarding work activities, safety, and quality expectations

+ Daily Toolbox meetings

+ New hire orientation and safety training

Quality/Production

+ Meet quality specifications

+ Assist QC in producing a quality product

+ Supply employees the tools they need to do the job

+ Eliminate rework

+ Help Manage Job Costs

+ Plan of the Day

Planning/Scheduling

+ Plan, organize, and schedule all job site activities with the Project Leader

+ Meet schedules and deadline within budget

+ Attend meetings with the client to coordinate and schedule support activities including crane time, scaffold erection, etc.

+ Meet all Pre-Job, Job, and Post-Job requirements

+ Ensure all required daily & weekly reporting is completed

+ Keep log of craft absenteeism

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSA): (Education and Experience)

+ 5+ years of experience in the industry with increased responsibility

+ Read and understand written and verbal directions, including material safety data sheets (SDS), procedures, Job Safety Analyses (JSAs), briefings, training, and manufacturer's instructions

+ Medical clearance to wear a tight-fitting respirator as required by OSHA

+ Able to speak, write, and understand English

+ High School Diploma or Equivalent

Preferred (KSA) Qualifications:

+ Successful completion of the Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OSHA) 10- or 30-hour construction training

+ Bilingual in Spanish preferred

Other Requirements:

+ Valid Driver's license, clean driving record, vehicle insurance, reliable and legal transportation

+ The employee must provide proof of employability according to federal requirements

**Working Conditions**

Physical surroundings or conditions under which the job is typically performed:

+ The job is typically performed in normally heavy construction environments with temperature extremes

+ Most frequently used Power Tools provide constant vibration and often used for long periods of time.

+ Conditions require awkward body/hand tool placement for significant periods of time, up to 12 hours a day

+ Many sites have narrowed, steep or confined access points

+ Personal Protective Equipment may be used including but not limited to: Hard Hat, Safety Glasses, Gloves, Work Boots, Protective Clothing, Hearing Protection, Fall Protection Gear and Respirator

+ Performing this job requires use of hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls, sit, talk and hear, stand, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl

+ While performing the duties of the job, the employee works on a construction site where the employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts; high precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; outside weather conditions and risk of electrical shock

**Physical Requirements:**

+ Walk, stand, sit, climb, and crawl to access work locations or perform work

+ The employee must be able to access scaffolding. Scaffolding has a weight limit of 300 pounds, including clothing, tools, and equipment which weight approximately 20 pounds

+ The employee must be able to comfortably enter tight and enclosed spaces to perform coating operations

+ The employee must be able to work comfortably at heights (such as leading-edge work, powered work platforms, and elevated work platforms)

+ The employee must be able to regularly lift at least 50 pounds

+ Employees must have a degree of hearing in at least one ear to hear loud conversational speech, which would be no more than a 70-decibel average hearing loss at 2000, 3000, and 4000 Hertz. ( _This minimum acceptable level of hearing is necessary to permit workers to hear emergency sirens and other emergency communications including stop work orders. Persons having more than a 70-decibel hearing loss in both ears may obtain a statement from a relevant health care provider (physician or audiologist) that use of hearing aids bring the hearing into acceptable levels, or the individual has adequate hearing of loud conversational speech_ )
