General Foreman - Electrical Contracting

Roberts Electrical Contracting, Inc is seeking a General Foreman to join our team.

Overview:
As a General Foreman for Roberts Electrical Contracting, you will oversee all jobsite operations, including implementation of jobsite plans, managing materials, labor and production of large Multi Family and commercial electrical projects. You will work directly with the general contractor and collaborate with the Project Management team. You are responsible for ensuring seamless execution of the project, ensure the work performed meets project specifications, is completed on time while providing the highest level of professionalism and customer service in the industry.
Most of the time you will work on construction sites in an administrative role, however in certain circumstances, you may also perform hands-on work with tools.

Essential Functions:
Project planning and development. Attend handoff meetings with estimators, and Project Managers
Develop site logistics to streamline material delivery, equipment usage, implement temporary power and lighting.
Meet with project manager to develop 12-week, 6-week, and 2-week lookaheads, continually collaborating to ensure the project stays on schedule for the duration of the project.
Coordinate with project manager to allocate manpower throughout all phases of the project. Attend weekly manpower meetings in office. Effectively communicate project labor needs, monitor labor efficiencies, hours and ratios on a weekly basis.
Assign clear scope of work and responsibilities to Foreman and lead Journeyman. Verify the foreman is completing day-to-day tasks, while also holding them accountable for implementing scope of work, completing required project documentation, meeting deadlines, and producing quality work.
Administer disciplinary write-ups, terminations, and yearly performance reviews.
Monitor time & attendance daily and weekly. Approve/deny PTO requests
Verify the foreman have all tools, materials, and resources needed to layout workers, and stay on schedule.
Project oversight, supervise the creation of as built drawings, panel schedules and project updates. Ensure the completion of approved change orders, resolving RFIs, and alert project managers to any changes or challenges immediately and effectively. Follow up until handled.
Monitor schedule, maintain meticulous records, ensure consistent quality of work, attend all onsite general contractor/ customer meetings. Follow up with any/all action items.
Prioritize jobsite safety compliance, ensure Foreman is enforcing all safety and PPE protocols.
Manage all subcontractors that are hired
Produce comprehensive material takeoffs for all aspects of the job as directed by the project manager.
Closeout at project completion, ensuring all contractual requirements are met before project handoff.
Coordinate the return of tools, equipment, and remaining materials back to shop for inventory, minimizing loss.
Attend all closeout meetings and vendor handoff meetings, ensuring seamless transfer and system functionality. Collaborate with project managers to ensure all notes are documented, and final details addressed.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Working Conditions:
Strong knowledge and experience related to scheduling, material lead times, product knowledge and installation durations.
Ability to read blueprints and follow specifications
Solid understanding of the electrical codes and installation methods.
OSHA 10 certified (required), OSHA 30 (preferred)
Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and construction software (e.g., Procore and Sage).
Fundamental knowledge of construction management and scheduling techniques.
Basic understanding of workforce productivity and resource planning.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Reliable attendance, punctual.
Professional, positive attitude, and team oriented. Take pride in your work
Construction site working conditions, you must have the ability to continually stand, lift/carry heavy objects, climb ladders, work in variable conditions such as extreme temperatures, with noise, dust, mud debris, etc.
Ability to drive, you may be required to visit multiple locations in a day.

Qualifications and Experience:
Colorado Journeyman Electrical License, required
Highschool diploma or GED, required
3+ years of general foreman experience managing projects up to $15M and supervising a workforce of 10-30 employees OR 5+ years of experience as lead electrical foreman running large Multi Family projects up to $10M and supervising a workforce of 10-20 employees
Valid driver license, clean driving record
