The Landfill Laborer

Responsible for performing a variety of tasks to support landfill operations. This includes site clean-up, equipment assistance, and ensuring a safe and clean work environment. This role plays a key part in maintaining the efficiency and environmental compliance of the landfill site.

Key Responsibilities:
Perform general labor duties around the landfill site, including litter control, manual debris removal, and site maintenance.
Assist with the operation and maintenance of landfill equipment as directed.
Monitor and direct traffic at the landfill and provide customers with proper disposal instructions.
Inspect and sort incoming waste for prohibited or hazardous materials.
Maintain cleanliness and safety of work areas in accordance with company policies and regulations.
Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED preferred.
Previous general labor or outdoor work experience is a plus.
Ability to work in various weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks.
Must be able to follow safety procedures and wear personal protective equipment (PPE).
Valid drivers license may be required depending on site location.
