Position Summary – Industrial Electrician - BMPR
The Industrial Electrician is responsible for design, build, and startup of industrial and facility equipment. Technician will be responsible for building panels, wiring production lines, inspecting utilities, and managing contractors while maintaining a clean and safe work environment. New facility start-up and interim responsibilities will be project-based tasks (rigging, wiring, panel layout, ESA inspections, H1 Plan Approval, Project Management).

Responsibilities:
- Work directly with management to develop and execute focused improvement projects involving process optimizations, upgrades, and the resolution of reoccurring problems
- Resolve complex electrical issues including diagnostics of sensors, programing, variable frequency drives, servo motors and controllers, communication systems (asi-bus, profi-bus, Ethernet), PLC input/output cards, safety modules and other electrical components.
- Work with equipment manufactures technical support to proficiently troubleshoot, diagnose and repair complex machine and process issues.
- Read and interpret schematics for mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, logic, process flow and instrumentation diagrams. Teach others to read also.
- Coach and develop operators and other technicians on proper equipment set up, operation, changeovers, regular maintenance and technical troubleshooting procedures.
- Take a leading role in planning annual rebuilds through equipment audits, rebuild programs and manpower planning.
- Provide a strong presence on the production floor, monitoring all equipment and operators for safety, quality, waste or efficiency risks and improvement opportunities.
- Attend daily production meetings to gain feedback on downtime, line efficiencies and areas needing immediate attention.
- Provide support during annual overhauls and as a technical and developmental support role when required.
- Work with the projects team when projects arise to help complete as time permits.
- Personal continuous development through training and hands-on experience.
Education/Skills/Experience Required:
- Certified 442A Industrial Electrician or 309A Construction Maintenance Electrician.
- Previous experience in the manufacturing sector
- A minimum of 5 years of experience
- Strong Mechanical aptitude
Working Environment and Physical Demands:
- Exposure to noise and vibration
- Working at heights and in confined spaces may be required.
- Working conditions in certain areas can be wet, slippery and noisy.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time, able to crouch, bend and kneel, as well as capable of heavy lifting and carrying.
- May involve exposure to extreme temperatures, humidity, noise, dust, fumes, or hazardous materials.
- Personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, hearing protection and bump cap must be worn on the production floor.
