We are seeking talented goal-oriented individuals to join the AB Design team. Qualified applicants will have: at least 5 years AutoCAD Residential drafting experience working in a firm working knowledge of the Florida Building Code Residential fair knowledge of standard residential building practices (multi-family experience is a plus) strong general computer knowledge including basic programs like Excel, Word, etc. some experience drawing details, sections, structural plans (foundation, lintel, etc.) a strong work ethic good communication skills the ability to work in a high-paced environment with tight deadlines a self-motivated work ethic and willing to learn new procedures ability to problem solve and find solutions rather than rely on others to provide The job duties for this position are as follows: Develop and maintain master files of specific house types Interpret, navigate and respond to building department comments from multiple municipalities around the state Coordinate with structural engineer to finalize buildable sets of construction documents Develop detailed sections and details (architectural, structural, water intrusion, insulation, fire, etc.) Manage lot-specific permit process with multiple builder preferences Self-check work before sending to quality control Work directly with project managers to meet deadlines AB Design Group offers competitive pay and great growth potential for career-minded applicants.
