Burgess & Niple is seeking a Civil Engineer, Entry Level to join our Tampa or Orlando FL office. This position provides the opportunity to work as part of a design team and collaborate with some of the top experts in the industry.

B&N Civil Engineer, Entry Level Responsibilities:

Collaborate with civil Professional Engineers and design staff on multidisciplinary civil engineering projects

Support the design and planning efforts for FDOT and municipal clients

Work on a wide range of projects, from exciting and innovative large scale roadway projects to water and wastewater systems

Preparation of design calculations, reports, and cost estimates

Develop engineering drawings utilizing next-generation plans through digital delivery and 3D modeling technologies and technical specifications

Gain hands-on experience in a collaborative team environment that supports professional growth, champions innovation and technology, and responds to the evolving needs of our clients

Skills and Qualifications:

Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited program

EI/EIT certification or ability to obtain within 6 months from this application

0-2 years of related civil engineering experience, prior relatable experience with construction or consulting is advantageous

Co-op/internship experience preferred

Software experience with Microsoft Office and desire to learn or working knowledge of MicroStation (ORD) and/or AutoCAD (Civil3D)

Excellent communication skills and detail oriented

Self-motivated and adaptable, including the capability to learn virtual collaboration tools
