Interested in joining us on our journey? The Master Scheduler oversees the scheduling strategy for a plant operation as well as production control daily scheduling. Works cross functionally with Product Fulfillment, Plant Operations and Sourcing to deliver a level-loaded production schedule that meets the demands of our customers. Position Master Scheduler Location USA, LaFayette, GA How You'll Create Possibilities Production Control - Schedule production lines and communicate support area requirements for each day. Access inventory; schedule based on customer fulfillment with consideration of equipment issues, material issues, etc. Drive production mix that yields 98% fill rates and 7-day cycle time results. Responsible for manifest and barcodes. Continuously monitor production channels for progress and updates, and adjust schedule as needed. Work with Material Planners to overcome material shortage issues. Report production data to Plant Operations team to drive improvements Master Scheduling - translates customer's needs into a build signal for the factory and the supply chain, focusing on long term strategy/capacity of planning plant production. Work with Fulfillment and Plant Operations to plan a forecasted production schedule, while assessing needs vs. manufacturing or supplier constraints. Manage schedule changes to minimize production losses. Oversee the Material Arrival Schedule (MAS). Utilize Proficy.to manage and update schedules. Coordinate with Product Management and Fulfillment teams to plan ahead for promotional periods. Responsible for communicating significant changes to master schedule and large forecast variations to plant materials team. Fine-tune schedule on a constant basis and readjust as needed (i.e. supplier issues, updated customer demand, etc) Other related duties as assigned May perform material planning duties for certain unique parts Manage other special projects as necessary. What You'll Bring to Our Team Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, engineering or other relevant field of study. 5 years of materials management experience within a manufacturing environment. Strong systems capabilities, including MRP/ERP systems and intermediate MS Word/Excel. Preferred Qualifications: 6+ years of materials management and scheduling experience within a high-volume manufacturing environment. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Understanding and prior usage/application of lean manufacturing principles. Customer focus, high energy and aggressive approach to issues. Excellent presentation skills and solid verbal/written communication skills. Initiative and ability to handle multiple priorities and tasks. Supplier management experience and project implementation. Awareness of current technology and advances in the field of supply chain management APICS certification. Six Sigma certification. Working Conditions: Working conditions are normal for both an office and manufacturing environment. Work may involve lifting materials and product up to 25 pounds. Working in the manufacturing environment requires the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, work shoes/boots. Work may require occasional weekend and/or evening work.
