Job Description
This position primarily involves field inspection of various construction projects for new development, redevelopment, and utilities. Typical projects include hot mix paving and patching, curb and sidewalk, drainage improvements, maintenance of traffic, utility construction and more. This position will be responsible for documenting daily construction activities. Work in excess of normal hours may be required for planned and unplanned events.
The work location will be at the 299 Yard, 749 Middletown-Odessa Road, Middletown, DE.

JOB REQUIREMENTS for Engineering/Planning/Surveying Technician II
Applicants must have education, training and/or experience demonstrating competence in each of the following areas:
Public Works:
Six months experience in applied mathematical computations including algebra and geometry.
Six months experience in interpreting construction plans and details, schematics or technical drawings.
Knowledge of reviewing construction plans and details, project plans, specifications, schematics or technical drawings to determine compliance.
Knowledge of using an automated information system to enter, update, modify, delete, retrieve/inquire and report on data.
Possession of a valid Driver's License (not suspended, revoked or cancelled, or disqualified from driving).
