The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local EHS regulations, as well as company policies and client requirements. This role requires a proactive individual with strong leadership skills, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to fostering a zero-incident safety culture.

Responsibilities:

Safety Leadership & Culture:

Promote and champion a strong safety culture among all project personnel, subcontractors, and visitors.

Conduct daily safety briefings, toolbox talks, and safety training sessions.

Lead by example in adhering to all safety protocols and procedures.

EHS Program Implementation & Compliance:

Implement, monitor, and enforce the project-specific EHS plan.

Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other relevant federal, state, and local EHS regulations.

Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and non-compliance issues.

Maintain all required EHS documentation, permits, and records.

Hazard Identification & Risk Management:

Perform Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) and risk assessments for all project activities, with a focus on fiberglass handling, confined spaces, hot work, and working at heights.

Develop and implement corrective actions for identified hazards.

Oversee the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

Incident Management:

Investigate all incidents, near misses, and accidents to determine root causes and implement preventive measures.

Prepare detailed incident reports and communicate findings to project management and relevant stakeholders.

Manage first aid and emergency response procedures.

Training & Communication:

Provide EHS orientation for all new site personnel.

Conduct specialized EHS training as needed (e.g., confined space entry, lockout/tagout, fall protection).

Facilitate effective EHS communication channels on site.

Environmental Stewardship:

Monitor and ensure compliance with environmental regulations related to waste management, spill prevention, and emissions.

Implement best practices for environmental protection on site.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in occupational health & safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field preferred.

Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Site Safety Coordinator or EHS professional in industrial construction, preferably with experience in piping, oil & gas, or chemical industries.

Specific experience with fiberglass piping projects is highly desirable.

OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification required.

Relevant certifications such as CSP, CHST, ASP, or equivalent are a strong plus.
