Mechanic

We are seeking a skilled Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diesel engine repair and maintenance, with experience in heavy equipment and automotive diagnostics. This role requires a hands-on approach to troubleshooting and repairing various types of diesel-powered machinery, ensuring optimal performance and safety.

Duties

Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines, including but not limited to transmissions, air brakes, hydraulics, and suspension systems.
Diagnose mechanical issues using automotive diagnostics tools and schematics.
Conduct repairs and maintenance on road construction equipment such as, road graders, rollers, excavators, sweepers etc.
Utilize hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment for assembly and repair tasks.
Maintain accurate records of repairs and services performed on vehicles and equipment.

Skills

Proven experience as a mechanic or service technician with a focus on diesel engines.
Strong mechanical knowledge of automotive repair.
Familiarity with heavy equipment operation and maintenance procedures for industrial equipment and tractor-trailers.
Experience with fabrication techniques is a plus.
Ability to read schematics and troubleshoot electrical systems effectively.
Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and welding techniques for repairs.
Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in diagnosing issues.
