Concrete Finisher

$36.60 Hourly, for 30.00 Hours per week

Location:
Several Locations in Kamloops & Logan Lake area (Thompson Okanagan
Region) and 153 Beachview Road, Kamloops, B.C. V2H 1M5

Education:
No formal education required

Experience:
Minimum 2 years of experience required

Languages:
Written and Spoken English is required

Duties:
Level top surface of freshly poured concrete on floors, walls, ceilings according to grade and depth specification
Check formwork, granular base and steel reinforcement material
- Direct placement of concrete into forms or surfaces
- Fill hollows and remove spots on freshly poured cement,
Operate power vibrators to compact concrete
Spread, level and smooth concrete surfaces using hand and power tools
Apply hardening and sealing compounds to cure surfaces,
Waterproof, damp proof and restore surfaces and erect scaolding and swing stages
Repair, resurface and replace worn or damaged sections of concrete structures
Mold expansion joints and edges, using edging tools, jointers and straghtedge
Signal and direct concrete mixing trucks to facilitate pouring concrete and move chute to direct concrete on forms
