Job Summary:
As a Plumber, you will be responsible for assembling, maintaining, repairing and inspecting pipes, valves, fittings, drainage systems and plumbing fixtures at Silver Dollar City. Silver Dollar City is one of America’s Top Theme Parks. Our guests travel from all around the country to experience our internationally awarded 1880s-style theme park with over 40 thrilling rides and attractions, 18 restaurants, 60 shops, live concerts and shows that all sits atop of Marvel Cave. Our dedicated team of Utilities Technicians work hard to make sure the facilities keep running throughout the park.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
• Lead plumbing technicians by assigning tasks, filtering work orders, and assisting in daily tasks as needed.
• Install, assemble, maintain, and repair pipes, valves, fittings, drainage systems, and plumbing fixtures.
• Perform routine maintenance and testing of plumbing systems to ensure proper function.
• Perform any necessary repairs to previously installed systems.
• Reading blueprints and drawings to understand or plan the layout of plumbing and water supply systems.
• Cutting, assembling, and installing pipes and tubes with attention to existing infrastructure.
• Follows Company’s Environmental, Health, and Safety Policies, and report unsafe conditions.
• Inspect and review projects to ensure safety and compliance with local, state and federal plumbing codes.
• Takes and records system operation readings according to prescribed schedules.
• Maintains daily logs, records plant operating data as required in logs and operations software.
• Prepare and maintain accurate paperwork such as records, logs, orders, surveys and routine reports as directed.
• Able to perform accurate mathematical calculations related to this position.
• Regularly exposed to work near moving mechanical parts; work in high, precarious places; risk of electrical shock and vibration.
• Frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals.
• Effective, timely, and respectful communication and interactions with other employees, supervisors, individuals from other organizations, and citizen customers.
• Performs other related functions assigned or as they become apparent or as management assigns.

Required Skills and Abilities:
• Must pass a pre-employment drug test and a background check.
• Must be proficient with plumbing tools, materials, and equipment.
• Must have proficient knowledge in piping and ventilation systems.
• Must be able to work days, evenings, weekdays, weekends and holidays as needed.
• Must be able to tolerate a year-round outdoor environment; cold and hot temperatures.
• Ability to read technical designs and blueprints.
• Ability to withstand heights, climb stairs, walk, sit, and stand for long periods of time.
• Must be able to work at heights from ladders and/or aerial lifts.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and up to 100 pounds (assisted).
• Must have specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
• Must be able to read, write, comprehend instructions and communicate in English.
• Must have or be able to obtain and maintain a Missouri Class E Driver's License or resident state equivalent.
• Basic computer skills; MS Word, MS Excel and SCADA system.
• Must be to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.

Education and Experience:
• Must hold a current Master Plumber license.
• Must have a High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
• Technical certification or higher-level education desired.
• Continuing education and training by becoming certified in one or more specific skills as determined by leadership.
• Knowledge of the techniques, equipment and materials used in the mechanical maintenance and repair of related equipment and systems.
• Proof of current certification in any related field or equipment-handling certificates.
• Proof of OSHA 10-hour or 30-hour course completion.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, climb stairs and ladders, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl. The role requires frequent lifting and carrying of materials and equipment up to 50 pounds independently and up to 100 pounds with assistance. The employee must also be able to push and pull equipment or objects and perform repetitive motions with hands and arms. Work at heights using ladders or aerial lifts is required. Specific vision abilities needed for this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Hearing and verbal communication skills are essential to effectively receive and convey information in a noisy work environment.

Work Environment:
This position operates in a variety of settings, including indoor mechanical rooms, outdoor work sites, utility tunnels, rooftops, and construction environments. Work is frequently performed in areas with exposure to extreme temperatures, high humidity, and inclement weather conditions. The role may involve working in confined spaces, at elevated heights, and in areas with loud noise or limited ventilation. This role is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, vibrations, and electrical systems. Appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) will be provided and must be worn as required.
