Overnight Safety Manager

This role requires an experienced safety supervisor to oversee night-time construction activities at the Supreme Court. The ideal candidate will manage day-to-day field activities, ensuring project milestones and overall schedules are met while maintaining a culture of safety, health, and cleanliness.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day field activities to ensure project milestone dates and overall schedule completion are met.
• Create short-interval look-ahead project schedules to ensure upcoming events are communicated, tracked, and proactively attended to.
• Maintain a culture that values safety, health, and cleanliness.
• Coordinate work to ensure it is constructed in an orderly manner consistent with best-practice standards.
• Establish and maintain dimensional controls for the project, utilizing third-party survey and layout personnel when appropriate.
• Verify all work is installed in a workmanlike manner (e.g., plumb, level, straight).
• Proactively identify issues that could lead to problems and facilitate solutions.
• Obtain all inspections and ensure quality aspects of the physical work are fully documented.
• Ensure all project aspects comply with contract terms and legal requirements.
• Administer client-specific programs such as CQC, Safety, and Environmental Stewardship.
• Conduct and attend pre-construction, progress, and other project and staff meetings.
• Meet regularly with client representatives to discuss project status and resolve problems.
• Manage self-performed activities to ensure work is performed within the established budget.
• Manage changes in project scope to prevent avoidable rework.
• Assist in acquiring subcontractor proposals to ensure the scope of work is met.
• Administer contracts, subcontracts, and purchase orders to ensure terms and conditions are met.
• Manage the punch list and project closeout process for timely completion.
• Maintain daily paperwork such as timecards, field reports, schedule updates, and email correspondence.
• Direct and manage workloads of supporting staff, including training, mentoring, and follow-up.
• Encourage staff to seek life-long learning opportunities and professional development.
• Report directly to the on-site Project Manager.

• OSHA 30 active certification
• EM-385 active certification
• QCM active certification
• Experience in construction safety, specifically exterior work including scaffolding, crane operations, and masonry.

• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with clients and managers on site.

The position involves working overnight at the Supreme Court, typically 4 shifts of 10 hours each from 6pm to 4am. The role may require opening scaffolding and attending meetings around 5:30 AM. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $120000.00/hr.
