What You'll Do Achieve the goal of zero accidents by using all protective equipment assigned and suggest safety improvementsProduce fabricated pieces in line with customer orders and ensure that parts fit within specified parameters via testing and/or quality control checksOperate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal segmentsExamine work pieces for defects and measure work pieces with straightedges or templates to ensure conformance with specificationsMaintain all tools, machines, and supplies in good, safe working order Report any issues or discrepancies immediatelyWhat You'll Need Two plus years of layout and welding experienceAbility to work in a fast-paced environment with production goalsUse of judgment to sequence welds in order to maximize efficiency and minimize weld distortionAbility to read and understand weld symbols, pre-qualified weld designations, and Weld Procedure Specifications (WPS)Your Education High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience preferredWe are CMC, a Fortune 500 company at the leading edge of our industry.
