Your Role as a Licensed Fire Alarm Technician- Job Description:
Work with a team to efficiently pull cable through J-hooks, bridle rings, conduit, and other supports.
Perform terminations on devices like duct detectors, strobes, pull stations, and smoke detectors; select proper outlet/junction boxes, cable, and conduit as needed.
Operate an Ohm Meter for troubleshooting, testing, and certifying systems.
Read blueprints, establish cable paths, lead small crews, size wires, troubleshoot ground faults, and deliver daily updates with test results and materials lists.
Hold (or be pursuing) a Texas Fire Alarm License (FAL) and assist with panel terminations.
Understand fire alarm components such as pull stations, detectors, signaling appliances, and annunciators.
Conduct circuit tests and ensure systems meet fire alarm codes and NFPA 72 standards.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation.
Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening.
Ability to pass an extensive criminal background check.
