Job Title: Project Management Associate - Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A)

Client Location: 430 California Street, San Francisco, CA 94104

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Project Management Associate to support M&A integration efforts, with a focus on sourcing operations. This role requires exceptional project management skills, the ability to handle Material Non-Public Information (MNPI) with confidentiality, and a thorough understanding of sourcing processes. The successful candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working in fast-paced environments with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

1. M&A Integration Management

Lead sourcing integration for M&A activities in alignment with compliance and strategic objectives.

Handle MNPI securely and ensure strict adherence to confidentiality protocols.

2. Project Management

Manage and prioritize multiple workstreams in a dynamic, deadline-driven environment.

Ensure timely execution of action items and deliverables, and escalate issues proactively.

Maintain clear project documentation and facilitate structured progress tracking.

3. Tracking & Communication

Develop tracking mechanisms for milestones, risks, dependencies, and deliverables.

Drive weekly asynchronous communication and ensure timely stakeholder alignment.

Escalate critical blockers and maintain accountability across teams.

4. Sourcing & Legal Acumen

Understand sourcing lifecycle: vendor selection, procurement, and contract negotiation.

Identify sourcing-related risks and work with legal to ensure compliance.

5. Cross-Functional Collaboration

Collaborate with legal, sourcing, finance, and procurement teams to ensure seamless execution.

Act as a liaison between internal and external stakeholders throughout the integration process.

6. Tool Expertise

Use project management tools effectively; Zip tool experience is a plus.

7. Performance & Reporting

Monitor integration performance and provide regular updates to leadership.

Recommend and implement improvements to enhance future M&A execution.

Required Qualifications:

Proven experience in project management, preferably in M&A integration.

Strong understanding of sourcing operations, vendor management, and procurement.

Experience working with and securing MNPI.

Exceptional organizational skills, with high attention to detail.

Ability to handle urgent priorities while maintaining long-term vision.

Strong communication skills, including experience with asynchronous stakeholder engagement.

Proficiency in project management tools (Zip is a plus).

Basic understanding of contractual and compliance risks related to sourcing.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Business, Project Management, or a related field required.

PMP certification or equivalent is preferred.
