David Evans and Associates, Inc. (DEA) is seeking a Survey Project Manager to support our Survey and Geomatics team in Woodinville, Washington. In this role, you'll manage a variety of land survey projects, provide technical and leadership guidance to field and office staff, and help strengthen DEA's reputation for delivering precise, high-quality work.
Our Survey and Geomatics practice is a revenue-generating business line that leverages cutting-edge technology, including 3D laser scanning, GNSS, and hydrographic systems. You'll work in a collaborative environment that values leadership, mentorship, and continual learning.
About the Role
As Survey Project Manager, you will manage survey deliverables for projects ranging from control and boundary surveys to topographic mapping, ALTA, right-of-way, and construction services. You will lead project execution, guide technical quality, and serve as a mentor to help team members grow in their careers.
Key Responsibilities
Manage project scopes, budgets, schedules, and client communications
Prepare and review boundary determinations, survey calculations, and deliverables
Oversee quality control of topographic, ALTA, and construction staking drawings
Mentor and direct survey staff in both field and office settings
Prepare proposals and contribute to project pursuit strategies
Coordinate with internal DEA disciplines and project stakeholders
Ensure adherence to firmwide standards for project accounting, documentation, and contracting
Support effective resource planning and delivery alignment with the Geomatics Group and Delivery Leaders
What You Bring
Land Surveyor-in-Training (LSIT) certification
8 or more years of experience in land surveying
Experience leading survey projects and mentoring technical staff
Proficiency in Civil 3D
Excellent communication and client relationship skills
Preferred Qualifications
Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license in Washington
Familiarity with county and state mapping requirements
Experience with Trimble Business Center
