The **General Superintendent** oversees all phases of a construction projects, ensuring they are completed safely, on time, and within budget. They coordinate field operations, manage on-site personnel and subcontractors, enforce safety and quality standards, and serve as the primary liaison between project managers and field crews. This role requires strong leadership, deep construction knowledge, and excellent problem-solving skills to maintain productivity and resolve issues on-site efficiently.
**Responsibilities**
**Responsibilities include but are not limited to:**
+ Accountable and overall responsibility for on-site administrative and technical management for a construction project.
+ Leads, directs and manages the entire direction of construction and related activities within assigned area of responsibility, which may be a single area, multi-area or a multi-discipline construction project.
+ Primary liaison with client for day to day activities and long term operations.
+ Communicates and directs through other superintendents changes or modification of jobsite activities within assigned area of operations.
+ Accountable for compliance with design/specifications, completion on schedule, within budget and to quality standards.
+ Primary interface and engagement with Project Manager to coordinate efforts.
**Qualifications**
**Minimum Requirements:**
+ High School diploma or equivalent.
+ Minimum 10 years of experience in heavy civil construction
+ Previous experience as a general superintendent on projects of similar size and scope. Ideally, this includes transit center or comparable transportation related projects involving elements such as parking lots, bus bays with steel canopies, and small CMU buildings.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Civil grading, underground utilities, and experience in Western Washington
Additional Information:
+ This position is located onsite in Renton, WA
+ Qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test.

The salary range for this position is between $170,000-$195,000 per year depending on experience and/or education.
