Electro-Mechanical Technician Level 2 is responsible for the day-to-day troubleshooting and preventative/predictive maintenance. This worker acts as a junior-level material handling technician on all equipment installed at the Hickory, NC, site. Overtime and occasional weekend work may be required.

The base pay range for this role is estimated to be $24.00 to $29.50 an hour at the time of posting. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as work location, education, experience, knowledge, and skills.

Tasks and Qualifications:

What You Will Do In This Role

  • Repair and maintenance of Material Handling Equipment (MHE), including belt tracking, component adjustment/replacement, component lubrication, etc.
  • Complete preventative maintenance routines, documentation, and procedures.
  • Use electrical test equipment to fix electrical circuitry.
  • Build and close work orders into the asset management system with appropriate data to include labor hours, equipment maintenance, and parts used.
  • Fix semi-complex problems and understand resources needed to resolve them.
  • Locate and supervise spare parts from inventory.
  • Performs routine maintenance and equipment testing to ensure they meet specifications.
  • Respond to service calls and accurate report equipment failures and faults.
  • Identify problems as they occur and take appropriate steps to tackle them.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships across all levels of the organization.

What We Are Looking For

  • We require a High School diploma or equivalent experience. Typically, an associate's degree or vocational technical training is helpful. Niche skill training/certification preferred.
  • 2-3 years of solving issues with electro-mechanical equipment preferred.
  • Proven experience in the area of responsibility and successful demonstration of position and key responsibilities as presented above.
  • Able to lift and move material up to 50 pounds each.
  • Regular bending, lifting, stretching, and reaching both below the waist and above the head.
