Talascend is currently seeking a Supplier Project Engineer for a contract opportunity with our client in Everett, Washington (State).
Overview
In this role, you will be responsible for providing oversight and delivery of components and equipment supporting the MCFR Program. The Senior Project Engineer will work with multidisciplinary engineering teams, Project Management, and support organizations to deliver critical equipment to support MCFR experiments.
Responsibilities
Manage supplier performance through application of project management tools, cost, schedule, submittal/deliverable, and risk oversight.
Facilitate supplier selection activities with requests for proposals (RFPs) and team review/selection processes in conjunction with the Contract Administrator through the full bid, evaluate, and award phase.
Support development of statements of work (SOW), specifications, and project planning to execute supplier projects to meet program objectives.
Support development of Commercial Grade Dedication and equipment qualification activities in accordance with relevant standards.
Collaborate with internal technical and commercial teams to ensure fidelity to contract and technical direction with supplier.
Coordinate technical review process of supplier deliverables/submittals to ensure appropriate and timely responses.
Manage interfaces between Suppliers and technical, legal, and procurement teams.
Maintain awareness of supplier technical capabilities, organization changes, and relationships to ensure positive feedback.
Participate in supplier audits, surveillances, and surveys at supplier facilities.
Qualifications
Technical degree + 4 years' experience (6 years experience in lieu of degree) in supplier oversight or project management, including managing cost and schedule of Safety Related manufacturing or construction.
Technical degree in mechanical, electrical, chemical, nuclear, systems, or civil engineering preferred.
Requirements
Demonstrated skills in the management of suppliers, including supporting contractual/commercial aspects of customer/supplier relationships.
Previous experience in technical interface with engineering groups for review and input to supplier activities.
Experience defining supplier scope, including development of statements of work and requests for proposal.
Experience in qualification of components and Commercial Grade Dedication.
Strong communication and coordination skills desired.
The successful candidate will possess a high degree of trust and integrity, communicate openly and display respect, and a desire to foster teamwork.
PMP certification or equivalent training preferred.
Shift
This role requires a minimum of 3 days in office. 1 day must be at the Bellevue office while the other 2 days must be at the Everett Lab.
