Electro Mechanical Technician 1

Our client, a leader in the HVAC industry, is seeking a Mechanical Lab Technician to join their team. As a Mechanical Lab Technician, you will be part of the engineering department supporting various testing and maintenance projects. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and a hands-on approach to mechanical tasks, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Mechanical Lab Technician

Location: Buffalo Grove, IL

Pay Range: $30/hour, based on experience and education level

Shift: 8:00 am to 4:00 pm

What's the Job?

• Assisting and facilitating test plans on HVAC components.
• Maintaining preventative maintenance plans and troubleshooting malfunctions.
• Carrying out tests using bespoke test equipment and assisting in setting up, programming, and running various tests on mechanical parts.
• Completing test reports and performing safety inspections.
• Devising, fabricating, and assembling test equipment or test samples.

What's Needed?

• Hands-on experience with mechanical tools and debugging.
• Basic computer skills such as word processing, data entry, and email.
• Ability to understand and abide by equipment and lab safety requirements.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Experience in a lab environment collecting data with mechanical test equipment.
