Electrical Engineer
Job Description

Join our team as an Electrical Engineer focused on the testing and development of Electric Drive machinery, including AC Drive Haul Trucks, Shovels, and Locomotives. You will collaborate with a team of test engineers, mechanics, and operators to execute prototype builds, machine updates, and tests, ensuring the reliability and efficiency of high-power electrical systems.

Responsibilities

  • Test and develop Electric Drive machinery such as AC Drive Haul Trucks, Shovels, and Locomotives.
  • Collaborate with a team of test engineers, mechanics, and operators to execute prototype builds, machine updates, and tests.
  • Participate in Risk Assessments and Hazard Assessments related to electrical systems.
Essential Skills
  • 8-10 years of experience in the design, testing, installation, and maintenance of high-power electrical systems (>1MW).
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering.
  • Experience with generators, switchgear, transformers, electric drive mining shovels, haul trucks, and locomotives.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience in high-power electrical systems, haul trucks, large mining equipment, large mobile equipment, and power systems.
Work Environment

Work in a collaborative environment with other test engineers, mechanics, and operators. Engage in hands-on testing and development in a dynamic setting that involves high-power electrical systems and large mobile equipment.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $50.00/hr.
