We are seeking an experienced and strategic professional to drive business growth across North America. In this key role, you will lead initiatives to expand Emersons presence in the chemical sector, identify new market opportunities, and develop strong relationships with customers.
In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:- Identifying and driving growth opportunities within the chemical industry by collaborating with area and regional sales teams to acquire new customers, develop projects, and execute revenue-generating initiatives aligned with the business's strategic plan.
- Improving sales effectiveness in the chemical industry through the identification of industry trends, key applications, and target customers, the sharing of knowledge and success stories, and enhancing communications across project and account teams.
- Delivering training materials as well as driving participation in training aimed at building industry expertise and the use of sales tools specific to the targeted market segments or product areas.
- Representing the organization at key industry forums and tradeshow events.
- Leading and enabling sales campaigns, working closely with marketing and product teams to deliver compelling value propositions and ensuring effective execution across sales teams.
You work to build customer relationships while pushing yourself and others to achieve results. You facilitate an open dialogue with a wide variety of contributors and customers. You see the big picture, constantly imagining future scenarios, and create strategies to sustain competitive advantage. You use knowledge of business drivers and how strategies and tactics play out in the market to guide actions.
For This Role, You Will Need:- Bachelor of Science in Engineering or related technical field
- Minimum of seven (7) years of experience; four (4) of which must be in sales or marketing
- Chemical industry experience or experience selling into the chemical industry required
- Strong technical knowledge of process control and automation solutions
- Ability to travel up to 50% within the territory including minimal overnight stays
- Legal authorization to work in the United States
- Proven track record of sales leadership in the chemical or related industrial sectors.
- Broad understanding of key account management and project pursuit
- Excellent critical thinking, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Proficiency in creating and delivering presentations to multiple influence levels within the customer.

Our compensation philosophy is simple: we pay a competitive base salary, within the local market in which we operate, and reward performance during our annual merit review process. The total target comp range (base + sales bonus) for this position is $131,000-$168,000 annually, commensurate with the skills, talent, capabilities, and experience each candidate brings to a role
