Experienced Electrical Estimator

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical contracting and construction estimating, with proficiency in industry-standard software such as Plan Swift. This role involves evaluating project specifications, preparing cost estimates, and ensuring accurate pricing to support our construction projects. The Estimator will play a crucial role in the bidding process, working closely with project managers and clients to negotiate terms and ensure project feasibility.

Responsibilities

Review project plans and specifications to understand scope and requirements.
Prepare detailed cost estimates for electrical construction projects, including labor, materials, and overhead.
Utilize Plan Swift software for accurate estimating and project management.
Collaborate with project managers to assess project risks and develop cost control measures.
Analyze bids from subcontractors and suppliers to ensure competitive pricing.
Negotiate contracts with clients and subcontractors to achieve favorable terms.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and industry standards.
Build strong relationships with clients, vendors, and internal teams to facilitate effective communication throughout the estimating process.
Experience

Proven experience in electrical contracting or construction estimating is required.
Proficiency in estimating software such as Plan Swift is required.
Strong understanding of cost control principles and pricing strategies within the construction industry.
Excellent negotiation skills with a track record of successful contract management.
Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately.
Strong analytical skills with attention to detail to ensure precision in estimates.
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, for collaboration with various stakeholders.

Pay: $75,337.05 - $90,728.50 per year
