Journeyman Carpenter

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Journeyman Carpenter to join our team at Homes to Havens. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of hands-on carpentry experience. This role involves physical carpentry work and overseeing daily on-site operations to ensure quality, safety, and project timelines are met.

Key Responsibilities:

Carpentry (Hands-on Duties):
Perform advanced carpentry work including framing, finishing, cabinetry, drywall, flooring, doors, and trim.
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications accurately.
Operate tools and equipment safely and efficiently.
Troubleshoot and resolve on-site construction and carpentry issues.
Maintain a high standard of craftsmanship and attention to detail.

Qualifications:
Red Seal or recognized Journeyman Carpenter certification.
Minimum 10 years of experience in carpentry and construction
Strong knowledge of residential construction, materials, and building codes.
Ability to lead and motivate a team effectively while also working independently.
Proficient in reading construction documents and managing construction schedules.
Basic computer and smartphone literacy (e.g., email, construction apps, documentation).
Valid drivers license and reliable transportation.

Preferred Skills:
First Aid and WHMIS certification.
Experience with project management software (e.g., Buildertrend, Procore).
Knowledge of sustainable building practices and energy-efficient construction.
