Northern California Senior Project Manager - Sacramento, CA Twining Consulting, an industry leader in technical innovations and quality service, providing advanced geotechnical engineering, special inspection and materials testing solutions. We are looking for a Senior Project Manager who will focus on project management, client service and project delivery to join our team in Northern California. Responsibilities include:
  • Facilitate growth for Twinings Northern California offices by positioning the company for large scale construction projects on both the public and private sides, including transportation, airports, entertainment facilities, institutional facilities such as colleges and universities, multi-family residential projects, and others.
  • Work with technical personnel to ensure services are delivered effectively.
  • Foster and develop client relationships that lead to proposal and contract opportunities
  • Maintain a presence within the industry by attending networking events.
  • Develop new and maintain current personal client relationships.
  • Ensure the delivery of projects from contract to completion with the support of the company resources including marketing and project management personnel.
  • Provide as-needed support to the Operations and Engineering services in the Northern California region.
  • Estimating on an as-needed basis.
  • Single point of contact and responsible individual for all the aspects of projects.
  • Manage all aspects of field inspections and laboratory construction materials testing services.
  • Review of field and laboratory reports.
  • Documentation and handling of nonconformance items.
  • Billing and budget management.
  • Provide as needed assistance with collections to projects that are managed.
  • Provide directions and technical assistance to field personnel.
  • Communication with all project teams and periodic/consistent site visits.
Required Competencies:
  • A minimum of 15 years in industry related project management and business development.
  • A minimum of 5 years of construction project management/civil engineering experience.
  • Experience with heavy civil-Infrastructure and vertical construction
  • Must have a strong network of connections with developers, contractors, and public agencies;
  • Proficient in estimating QA/QC services.
  • Strong background on structural special inspections.
  • Experience with overseeing materials testing and structural inspections highly desirable.
  • Exceptionally strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal relationship skills, sense of responsibility and responsiveness.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment and communicate clearly with coworkers, clients and potential clients.
  • Ability to maintain company established utilization goals.
