Purpose:
Teya Support Services, LLC (TSS) is seeking a full-time qualified Assistant Superintendent for the Western Oregon Service Unit (WOSU) IHS Unit School contract. Assistant Superintendent will assist the Superintendent in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the project to include assisting in managing subcontractors, preparing and delivering reports, enforcing compliance with safety requirements and best practices, as well as any other duties required by the Superintendent, Project Manager, or Program Manager.
Duties and Responsibilities:

- Assist the Superintendent in overseeing and managing daily construction site operations, including supervision of subcontractors.
- Serve as a primary point of contact between the Superintendent, subcontractors, suppliers, vendors, and other key project stakeholders.
- Help manage and allocate project resources effectively to optimize productivity and prevent delays.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of comprehensive project documentation, including daily logs, inspection reports, progress updates, and records of safety violations or incidents.
- Assist in implementing environmental management plans, such as stormwater control and waste management, as required by project specifications and local regulations.
- Proactively identify potential delays or conflicts, offering solutions to keep the project on schedule and within budget.
- Perform regular construction site inspections and walkthroughs to ensure safety compliance, that construction is progressing according to schedule, and that work meets plans, specifications, and contract requirements
- Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials and that their schedules align with project timelines.
- Ensure the proper storage and handling of materials to prevent damage, waste, or theft, and that all materials are readily available when needed.
- Assist in monitoring project expenses and tracking variances to ensure the project remains within budget.
- Enforce a strong safety culture on-site, ensuring that all activities comply with the project's Safety Plan and OSHA regulations.
Required Qualifications and Experience:

- Three (3) to five (5) years or more years of proven experience in construction management/field management
- Sufficient knowledge of construction management processes, means and methods
- Expert knowledge of excavation techniques, details, and relevant rules, regulations, and quality standards
- Competent in conflict and crisis management
- Leadership and management skills
- Excellent time and project management skills
- BS degree in construction management preferred
