Essential Duties:
- Oversee daily operations functions to ensure workflow efficiency, accuracy, and compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Supervise, coach, and evaluate a team of operations staff, setting clear performance expectations and providing regular feedback.
- Coordinate resource allocation and task assignments to meet operational deadlines and service-level agreements.
- Monitor key performance metrics, identify process bottlenecks, and implement improvements to optimize productivity. Having Lean Manufacturing Experience is a plus.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including logistics, procurement, finance, and customer service, to ensure seamless business operations.
- Ensure proper documentation, recordkeeping, and reporting for operational activities.
- Troubleshoot and resolve escalated Operations issues, providing guidance to team members on problem-solving and decision-making.
- Support the development and implementation of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and best practices.
- Oversee compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements within the operations support function. PSM and ISO 9001 experience is a plus for this role.
- Assist in budget planning, cost control, and resource management to meet department goals. Having solid Math skills is a requirement
Requirements:
- EDUCATION: Bachelor of Science in related field of study
- EXPERIENCE: 3 -5 years of experience in operations, 1 – 3 years in supervisory or team lead position – Engineering degree preferred along with experience working in a Chemical Operation.
