JOURNEYMAN HVAC TECH- PLANT OPS/ MAINTENANCE
Requirements
A high school diploma or equivalency is required.
Degree of completion certificate from vocational or technical school in HVAC or refrigeration preferred. Minimum of four years HVAC field experience, preferably in a hospital setting, required. Journeyman HVAC mechanic license required.
Must be at least 18 years old and have a valid Kentucky driver's license. Must successfully pass a written Defensive Driving course, which is included in a new-hire orientation or available through the Hospital Education Department. Must have a DOT driver's record check, which falls within the guidelines of acceptable records.
Summary
Maintains the condition of all HVAC and refrigerant systems in the medical center, ensuring all maintenance repairs and adjustments are performed in a manner that assures the safety of all patients, visitors, and staff per code.
