Job Description


Position Summary:

The HVAC Technician performs maintenance and repairs on medium to large HVAC systems and controls. This role ensures high-quality service, safe work practices, and professional customer interaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain HVAC systems including RTUs, heat pumps, DX systems, and control systems
  • Diagnosing equipment failures and using the appropriate tools to test parts and components
  • Disassembling and reassembling parts as needed, making repairs to restore systems to full function
  • Complete preventive maintenance and inspections per service agreements
  • Document work using mobile technologies and follow customer-specific protocols (eg, IVR systems, work order logs)
  • Maintain clean and professional appearance of self, tools, vehicle, and jobsite
  • Communicate work status regularly with service coordinators
  • Attend required meetings and training sessions
  • Adhere to all safety and company policies
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • State Journeyman or Master License (Required)
  • EPA 608 Universal Certification (Required)
  • 3+ years of HVAC service experience
  • Familiarity with BOCA Code and OSHA regulations
  • Strong troubleshooting and documentation skills
  • Customer-focused, self-motivated, and reliable
  • Flexible to work variable shifts, including nights/weekends/overtime

Physical Requirements:

  • Frequently lift/carry up to 50 lbs.; occasional heavy lifting up to 80 lbs.
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, climbing ladders/stairs
  • Capable of wearing all required PPE
  • Work at heights and in varied environmental conditions

Work Environment:

Work is performed in commercial or industrial settings including rooftops, mechanical rooms, and outdoor environments with exposure to noise, chemicals, and moving equipment.
