Excavation Project Manager / Estimator - S. Maine - Hiring Bonus

EXCAVATION PROJECT MANAGER / ESTIMATOR (Southern Maine) High-end residential homebuilder and excavation company in Southern Maine. Excavation Division specializes in all sitework on home projects, hardscapes, seawalls, house raises/jack ups, full landscapes, water hookups, septics, etc. We offer flexible working hours, exceptional benefits and a fun, supportive work environment.

Were looking for an experienced Excavation Project Manager with extensive excavation knowledge and a willingness to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. The pay is negotiable depending on experience.

Some Responsibilities:
Daily communication and collaboration with Excavation Department Head
Support Department Head in sales and operations
Conduct site visits with potential customers to gather all information needed to estimate job
Produce full estimates from site visits, including necessary drawings, scope, etc.
Communication with subcontractors, and vendors
Communication with potential clients
Collaborate with department head, owner, subcontractors, vendors, customers
Develop project schedules, plans, notes, etc. for approved jobs to be ready for field crews
Communicate with a range of people including customers, subs, vendors, co-workers, field employees
Work with different municipalities, know permitting processes

Skills / Abilities:
5 years operations experience for a large excavation company
3 years experience in estimating a range of excavation projects
Strong time and task management skills
Computer / technology proficiency (*Buildertrend*, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook)
Good people skills
Ability to work in a team environment
Thrive in a fast paced environment
Problem solver
