Contract Administrator II

In this role you will provide professional Contract Administrator services to NASA Marshall Space Flight Center (MSFC) Office of Small Business Programs (OSBP) in Redstone Arsenal, Alabama. The candidate is expected to rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Works under general supervision. Must have experience supporting FAR Part 19 activities.

Hiring Timeframe: Immediate

Work Location: This position operates 100% onsite in building 4260 on the Arsenal. Travel is necessary about 6-8 times per year. Seventh Sense will support your daily commute by contributing over $1,500 annually to your Transportation FSA.

What You'll Do:

Successful candidate will be assigned to support the MSFC OSBP Team as a part of the NASA Agency-Wide Acquisition Support Services (AWASS) 2.0 program. Tasks include detailed planning, preparation and execution of numerous MSFC outreach events to small businesses. Success in this role is measured in annual NASA OSBP metrics outlining small business goals. The candidate must follow regulatory requirements set forth in the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and NASA FAR Supplement (NFS) regulations. Besides outreach events, the successful candidate will support efforts involving the MSFC Mentor-Protege Program and Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) Partnership for MSFC. Lastly, the position supports in-reach activities educating MSFC Contracting Officers and Contract Specialists about the OSBP program and responsibilities.

Must Haves:

• Applicants must have a bachelor's degree and 4 years of equivalent experience OR a high school diploma and 8 years of equivalent experience
• Ability to gain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
• Mid-level procurement experience
• Ability to operate both on-site and telework as part of a team
• Skilled in planning preparation, and execution of large conferences and/or events
• Comfortable working with files on a SharePoint Site
• The candidate shall have excellent writing and speaking skills.
• Must be proficient in MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and MS Word.

Nice to Haves:

• Experience with NASA systems and processes is highly desired
• Professional certification in contracting is highly desired
• Experience in or with an Office of Small Business Programs is highly desired
• Skills in graphics, presentations, and new media are highly desired.
• Skills in administrative automation tools are highly desired.

Salary Range: The proposed salary range for this position is $50,000 - $55,000 per year. This range reflects factors such as geographic location, skills, experience, training, certifications, contract-specific affordability, and organizational needs.
