Job Title: Recycling Laborer

Department: Base Operations

Job Summary:
We are seeking a hardworking and reliable Recycling Laborer to assist in the collection, sorting, and processing of recyclable materials. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all materials are handled efficiently and in accordance with established safety and environmental standards. This role is essential for our commitment to sustainable waste management.

Key Responsibilities:

Material Sorting & Processing: Manually sort and separate various recyclable materials such as paper, plastic, and metal. Operate and perform basic maintenance on equipment like balers and compactors.

Collection & Transport: Collect recyclable materials from designated collection points and transport them to the central processing area.

Equipment & Area Upkeep: Clean and maintain the recycling facility, including equipment and work areas. Ensure a safe and organized work environment.

Safety & Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Comply with all local, state, and federal environmental regulations.

Desired Qualifications:

Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

Experience: A minimum of 1 year of experience in a warehouse, recycling, or general labor role.

Technical Skills: Basic knowledge of different types of recyclable materials. Ability to operate and maintain simple machinery.

Leadership: The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Certification: A valid driver's license may be required.

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to lift and carry heavy objects up to 75 pounds frequently.

Requires the ability to stand, walk, bend, and stoop for extended periods.

Must be able to work in various conditions, including exposure to loud noise, dust, and all types of weather.
