Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and certified Electrician to install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, wiring, and equipment throughout our facilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of electrical principles and safety standards, and be capable of working on a wide range of projects from new installations to troubleshooting complex issues. This role is essential for ensuring the safe and reliable operation of our electrical infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
Installation & Repair: Install new electrical systems, wiring, lighting, and power outlets. Repair or replace faulty wiring, circuits, and electrical components.
Troubleshooting: Diagnose electrical problems using a variety of test equipment such as multimeters and oscilloscopes. Locate and correct issues in a timely and safe manner.
Maintenance & Inspection: Perform routine preventative maintenance on electrical systems to prevent failures. Conduct inspections to ensure all installations are up to code and safe.
Safety & Code Compliance: Adhere strictly to all electrical codes, including the National Electrical Code (NEC), and company safety protocols.
Desired Qualifications:
Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Completion of a state-approved electrical apprenticeship program is essential.
Experience: A minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Journeyman Electrician.
Technical Skills: Extensive knowledge of electrical theory, wiring methods, and circuitry. Proficiency in reading blueprints and electrical schematics.
Leadership: The ability to work independently with minimal supervision and effectively collaborate with other trades and team members.
Certification: A valid state-issued Journeyman Electrician license is required. A valid driver's license is also necessary.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift and carry heavy equipment up to 50 pounds.
Requires the ability to climb ladders, work in confined spaces, and stand for extended periods.
Must have excellent manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
